4 Things No One Tells You About Buying a Home
4 Things No One Tells You About Buying a Home
1. You don’t always need 20% down. There are several other options!
Putting 20% down does have its benefits- with more money up front, you are borrowing less, which lowers your monthly payment.
However, there are several other options. Talk with a trusted lender (we are glad to recommend some!) about what would make the most sense for you and your financial goals.
2. There is no such thing as a perfect home.
It’s natural to envision your perfect dream home, however, try and focus on what is MOST important to you and your current lifestyle.
In general, you want the home you choose to have more positives than negatives, and be something you can live with, grow into, and renovate or update to your taste if needed.
3. It’s OK to ask questions.
Questions are expected- and honestly, encouraged! If something in your Buyer Agency Paperwork or Purchase & Sales Agreement doesn’t make sense to you, ask about it before you sign.
We are always glad to explain wording, clarify verbiage, or get additional property details for you.
4. Think of us as Teammates.
Buying a home can be a long and even stressful process- we get it! That’s why we like to remind clients that we are their teammates- before, during, and after the transaction.
We’ll physically be there by your side- during showings, home inspections, and more. In addition, we offer continuous communication and support through phone, email, & text.
Tag a friend who needs to see this… or share it with someone that could use a great Realtor by their side!
